Midwifery Care at a Free-Standing Birth Center

Welcome to the Family Birth Center website

The Family Birth Center is a freestanding birth center independently owned and operated by midwives. Our services include prenatal care and delivery, as well as postpartum and newborn care.

We offer an alternative in childbirth philosophy and setting. Here, pregnancy is viewed as a normal and natural process. For most women, this can be one of the happiest and healthiest times of their lives. At the Family Birth Center, our focus is on healthy mothers having their babies in a comfortable and safe environment.

We are open Monday through Thursday 8 am to 1 pm. You may make an appointment with Elaine M. Becker, Certified Nurse Midwife or Melanie Arkoudas, Midwife Apprentice.

PRENATAL CLASSES
You are cordially invited to the Family Birth Center on November 5, 12, and 19, 2009 for classes with Nicki Hope, Childbirth Educator, Doula, and Music Therapist. These classes are a series of three and will cover pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum (life after baby is born). The classes will be held at our birth center at 6:00 PM each evening and the cost is $10.00 per class. Mark your calendar and please call us to reserve your spot at 406-770-3022.
